DOPPELGÄNGER'S DECEIT is the second solo album by internationally acclaimed guitarist WARZY, and is an absolute firestorm, ignited by the ferocious speed and fire of this Osaka shredder’s hands. Katana claws of pure heavy metal!
As far back as the late eighties, Warzy has carved a special distinction for himself in heavy music, from his roots in the Japanese hardcore band Inzest, to his revered band of the nineties Narcotic Greed, and his continual work with thrash metal giants HATE BEYOND.
The one constant being passion, aggression, and a technical ability that is unmatched.
That is Warzy, as he continues to defy expectations with a new offering of powerful compositions and tributes, inspiring a new generation of shred guitarists all over the world.
This record is a rager, and a hell of a ride.
The metal myriad of guests include Yuichi “Bomber” Senda (Hate Beyond), Hellwar and E-Dead (RAGING FURY), and Ryoji "DAN" Azuma (Narcotic Greed). Also included is an absolute killer rendition of the LOUDNESS classic “Dream Fantasy” recorded as a tribute to, and with the blessing of the man himself Akira Takasaki! The vocal acrobatics are met head-on by Jon-Egil “JRam” Ramslie of the Norwegian band Kilgora.
Also gracing the album is the phenomenal Hideaki Niwa, of Japanese prog-metal band VIGILANTE (featured on VH1’s Metal Evolution). Niwa along with Warzy have rearranged and re-recorded two slammin’ songs from the out-of-print first WARZY record, “State of War.”
Adding dangerous fun to DOPPELGÄNGER'S DECEIT is the bonus BLONDIE cover, “Call Me” featuring Miranda Macabre of the American punk band Future Hate. An energetic and grimey collision.
